About us:

PhotoClub «Ikar» – is a social organization which unites a lot of Kiev photographers.
Photoclub exists near the aviation constructor bureau by the name of Antonov since 1980. During 25 years of Club existing our exhibitions were taking place in different towns of former USSR, Еurope and Аsia many times.
Now the Club – is a strong art group which is growing and changing constantly. Inside the Club there are some photo currents which are developing actively.
Among the participants of the Club movement there are representatives of nearly all the photography directions – classic and advance-guard. During last several years was formed the «kernel» of Club consisting of photographers of different directions and levels.

Exhibitions:

The members of Club are united constantly in different art groups and organize photo exibitions, create the projects and realize them.
One day in a year we conduct an an account exibition of Club which is usually exhibited in several towns. PhotoClub takes place actively in the international photo actions.

How it works:

The meetings take place every Thursday (beginning at 18:30). Every first Thursday we have a master-class wth different photographers or art groups. Every last Thursday of the month – the contest, on which we choose the best photo of the month.
In the other days we meet, drink tee, show our works. On every meeting there are 3 shows of authors.

- the members of art council: Alexander Ljapin, Dmitrij Openko, Viktor Mette
- now there are 20 members in the Club, 10 candidates to the members PhotoClub and
about 40 participants of Club movement
- every month we take dozens of new persons. Many of them remain with us
- in 2005 the Club organized 10 exhibitions in Kiev, Odessa, Varshava.
